Chimeric

In 1992, not long after Nancy Waite's return from training horses in California. She began her search for an Arabian Mare of extreme type. However, not only would this mare need to be of extreme Arabian type, she also needed to be athletic, and most significantly she would need to posess the blood of the immortal *Bask.

After scouring the country for more than a year;her search ended with the Gdansk daughter Cymbelina. Cymbelina had recently won the prestigous fall Santa Barbara Show in English Pleasure Open and Pleasure Driving with Gil Chavez. When Nancy discovered Cymbelina, she was preparing to travel to Scottsdale with Steve Heathcott to make her bid for the title of Scottsdale Champion Mare. Knowing that she had found her "ideal" mare, Nancy quickly made arrangements for Cymbelina to travel to her new home in Pennsylvania.

It took another few years to select just the right mate for her. Again the potential sire needed to have Arabian type; and he needed to have won a National Championship in Halter as well as English Performance. The undisputed leader was, and still remains the immortal *Bask. It proved to be no easy task to find a *Bask son still living and breeding. *Bask had an unbelievable number of get and grandget who had achieved National wins in Halter and Performance; but most of his sons were no longer with us. Of the few *Bask sons who were standing at stud,Nancy finally determined GG Jabask+'s type, size, and athleticism were the right match for Cymbelina. GG Jabask+ was a U.S. Reserve National Champion Stallion and a National Top Ten in English Pleasure. The real deal maker was the fact that, in addition to those National titles in Halter and English Pleasure; GG Jabask+ was a Scottsdale Champion in Working Cow Horse. No other Stallion could make that claim. "Pretty is as Pretty does"! Plus not only did he carry the precious blood of *Bask, but also one of the breeds most revered sires *Serafix ,as did the dam of Cymbelina.
It was with great anticipation that Nancy awaited the arrival of her double*Bask++ double *Serafix foal.

In July of 1995, Cymbelina gave birth to Chimeric. He has been wowing Arabian enthusiasts as well as non-Arabian horse people ever since. Chimeric has proven himself to be all that you would expect from such an amazing cross. He stands nearly 15.2 hands and is absolutely unmistakably an Arabian. He greets everyone with en extremely long, upright neck, thick flowing mane. Peering out from a long wisp of forelock are beautiful, large black eyes, topped off by some of the smallest " tippiest "ears, another compliment of "GG". Most people are awe stuck by his "Pegasus" appearance His stature is almost other worldly. His disposition is so kind and mannerly that anyone, even a child could handle him. Chimeric has proven himself in the training barn as well. He eargerly looks forward to work sessions and has always easily handled every step of his training. In fact, Nancy has repeatadly commented that he is the most reasonable, level headed horse she has ever worked "I can teach him something, and he can take literally months off,and he remembers exactly what he learned during that last session. and he progresses to the next level. Chimeric stands as an increasingly rare and invaluable source of *Bask++ and *Serafix bloodlines, offering breeders not only a direct line to such greatness, but an excellent opportunity to infuse their breeding program with Arabian Type, Heart, Trainability, and Size!!
